This may include contact details, shipping and billing details, order information, and related production, fulfillment, or support information.

We generally receive this information from the applicable merchant, business customer, organization, or connected platform, rather than directly from the individual.

We may also disclose information where we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to investigate or prevent fraud, abuse, violations of law, security incidents, or violations of our agreements, terms, or policies.

7. Merchant Data and Customer Data Processed on Behalf of Business Users

Where a merchant, business customer, or organization uses the Services, that party may control certain data submitted to the Services, including personal information relating to its customers, employees, contractors, or end users.

In those circumstances:

  • the merchant, business customer, or organization is generally responsible for providing any required notices and obtaining any necessary consents;
  • YoPrint generally processes such information on behalf of and under the instructions of the applicable merchant, business customer, or organization, except where YoPrint has an independent legal right or obligation to use the information; and
  • individuals seeking to exercise rights regarding such information should ordinarily direct their request to the relevant merchant, business customer, or organization first.

8. Compliance Requests and Privacy Requests

We may receive privacy, compliance, or data-rights-related requests from customers, merchants, individuals, platforms, or other partners.

Where applicable and subject to law, contract, technical feasibility, security requirements, fraud-prevention needs, dispute-resolution requirements, recordkeeping obligations, backup and archival practices, and other permitted retention grounds, we may take steps we determine are appropriate in response to valid requests, including:

  • providing relevant information;
  • limiting or restricting certain processing;
  • redacting, anonymizing, or disassociating certain information; or
  • otherwise handling information in a manner consistent with applicable requirements and operational needs.

Nothing in this Privacy Policy requires YoPrint to take any action with respect to information where retention, preservation, or continued processing is permitted or required by law, contract, accounting requirements, legitimate dispute management, security practice, fraud prevention, technical constraints, or backup and archival processes.

9. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide the Services, maintain business and financial records, support production and fulfillment workflows, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, support security and fraud-prevention measures, comply with legal obligations, and maintain backup and disaster-recovery systems.

Retention periods may vary based on factors such as:

  • the type and sensitivity of the information;
  • the nature and duration of the customer relationship;
  • legal, tax, accounting, contractual, operational, or security requirements;
  • the existence of disputes, investigations, claims, audits, or enforcement needs; and
  • technical limitations and backup and archival cycles.

Information may continue to exist for a period of time in logs, backups, archives, disaster recovery systems, and other retained media, subject to reasonable operational, legal, and technical constraints.

10. Security

We implement reasonable and appropriate administrative, technical, organizational, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. These measures may include, as appropriate, access controls, authentication measures, logging, monitoring, network protections, secure transmission practices, secure development and deployment practices, vendor management, and backup protections.

However, no method of transmission, storage, or security control is completely secure, and we do not guarantee that the Services will be immune from all security threats, loss, misuse, or unauthorized access.

11. International Transfers

We may store and process information in the United States and other jurisdictions where we or our service providers operate. Those jurisdictions may have data protection laws that differ from those in your location.

Where required, we rely on transfer mechanisms recognized under applicable law.

12. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, SDKs, local storage, and similar technologies to:

  • operate and secure the Services;
  • remember settings and preferences;
  • understand usage and performance;
  • improve functionality; and
  • measure communications and service effectiveness.

You may be able to control some of these technologies through your browser or device settings, though disabling them may affect functionality.

13. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including rights to request access to, correction of, or information about certain processing of your personal information, and to exercise other rights available under applicable law.

These rights are not absolute and may be limited by law, technical feasibility, privilege, security concerns, fraud-prevention needs, the rights of others, contractual obligations, or our need to retain information for legal, operational, accounting, recordkeeping, or backup purposes.

Where YoPrint processes information on behalf of a merchant, business customer, or organization, we may direct you to that party to exercise your rights.
