Jump in July: Here’s What’s New this Month
Jul 29, 2024Hey guys,
We’ve been busy behind the scenes, brewing up some major enhancements and minor features to make your experience with YoPrint even better. From a brand-new product importer to nifty new features and bug fixes, we’ve got a lot to share. Spoiler alert: we’re about to make your workflow smoother and your life a whole lot easier.
Here’s a general overview of what our team has worked on.
Fresh New Product Importer
Out with the old, and in with the new! We’ve tossed out our aging product importers and replaced it with a brand-new, rewritten from scratch, shiny version. This overhaul addresses those pesky inconsistencies between our system and what’s live on vendors’ websites.
The new version is more robust and resilient to errors. No more mid-import facepalms. Extra monitoring? You bet! Now we keep track of the last successful imports and get notified if something goes wrong. Canadian product catalogs? Updated! It should now be updated to reflect new product availabilities.
Customer Duplicate Detection
Introducing our new feature: Customer Duplicate Detection. Basically, when creating a new customer, if we find a customer with a matching name, we’ll let you know. You also get the option to update the customer details, should you need to. If for some reason, you need to create two customers with the same name, we won’t question you either 😉
Customer Detail Dialog Enhancement
We suspect Anbin had too much time on his hands and decided to rearrange all the buttons to the top of the panel instead of the bottom, but we’re not complaining. Previously, Orders, Quotes and Invoices were at the back, which was quite a hassle to deal with. Now it has been re-arranged to the front, making it much more easier to navigate around.
Also, QuickBooks Mapping was moved up a level to make more space for the dialog. We promise to get him a new hobby, but hey, it looks neat, right? Fullscreen support is also here, and yes, Anbin is pretty proud of it.
A lot of small changes have been made to enhance the overall user experience. We hope it gives you a better time navigating around. We remain committed to running our importers daily to catch any changes, no matter how infrequent they may be.
Custom Product Price Added To Cost
Now, custom product costs are recorded to line items, allowing you to calculate profit margins more accurately. Hooray for knowing exactly how much money you’re making! Also why did it take us this long? Only Anbin knows.
Mockup / Production File Rearrange Dialog Enhancements
For Mockup or Production File Rearrange Dialog, you can now toggle for Fullscreen dialog and hover over for a better preview. The dialog is now larger by default, making it less cramped and a sight for sore eyes. The dialog has also been updated to match the V2 aesthetics.
Unit Price Added to Purchase Order Message Template
Purchase Order Message Template now supports the unit_price variable to display the unit price of a line item. It’s the little details that make all the difference!
Add Download Option To Invoice List Page
In the words of Mother Ariana Grande, you see it, you like it, you want it, you got it! What was before a tedious task, is now available with just a simple right-click. There is now a “Download” option for the invoice menu item on the Invoice List Page.
Bug Fixes & Minor Enhancements
- Fixed a bug where YoPrint sometimes doesn’t record declined transactions from Authorize.net. We’ve identified the root cause, and all declined transactions should now be accurately recorded.
- Fixed a bug where updating a Payment Term sometimes fails to save citing “duplication”.
- Settings > Users page has been updated to match V2 UI.
